PSL with Moon

[maybe moon hasn't been to this part of the world in the past couple thousand years, maybe he's just hidden his presence somehow

but he's been in the area for a couple of weeks when a wild-eyed young man bursts into-- wherever he is, regardless of defense levels, looking quite honestly mad. he's a mess, clothes damaged from a rough journey and who knows what all else, body at what would be a breaking point if he could break-- he hasn't slept or stopped running since he could feel moon. only homed in on that new, unfamiliar sensation of a dragon who isn't one of his brothers, is so much bigger.]

[Even when Moon though Moon is trying to play the normal human traveler, he's playing the rich normal human traveler. Got himself the nicest, biggest room at the inn. Got a bath he's dumped an unholy amount of salt into. Got as many fancy meals as he wants on room service!

he looks up from his latest tray of regional speciality snacks, blinks,]

... this room is occupied, young man.

[and while his arms and eyes are hidden— his tail is coiled around his feet and starting to flick uneasily]

[Zeno sinks to his knees, hyperventilating. Forever and ever, he's been able to feel his brothers, their little flickering candleflames of dragonblood.

Being so close to Moon is like touching the sun.]

Sorry. I-- Zeno, is sorry.

Sorry should...— are you alright?

[His tail swishes out in a wider circle, spikes bristling, but it's only an instinctive display at the surprise of another dragon's scent. Moon reaches across the table, picking through his snacks for a cup of tea to press into Zeno's hands.]

Drink. Breathe.

[he shakily accepts the tea, folding himself into a more acceptable sitting position. and trying to breathe.

Zeno has drunk a dragon's blood, has been irrevocably marked and changed by it, but there is no sense of it being recent. Rather, it's a truly ancient claim on him.]

[Moon has the good manners not to flick his tongue, but he doesn't try to hide his staring. 'Ancient' isn't the feel of most of his descendents these days... A dream of one of his nephews? But that doesn't feel right either.]

[he follows the instruction, slowing his breathing bit by bit.]

...Zeno. Ouryuu Zeno. I'm... A dragon warrior.

[eggstinction]

I am Moon. A dragon lord.

[Which isn't how a Lord-ranked dragon should introduce himself and he doesn't look like a lord-classed dragon, but he doubts either of those would be recognizable to Zeno.]

[defendless]

[a hysterical laugh bubbles up]

I. I see. No wonder...

I could feel you so deeply. I ran... The whole way here, to find you.

[eggstinction]

[...swishes his tail out of its defensive loop. there's a flurry of soft clicking sounds as his carapace unfolds to armor his neck and limbs. a few pieces of his forehead crack off like broken plaster as his gemstone eyes appear.

no extra arms though, since he doesn't have the sleeves for them in this human outfit]

You have found me. But now what?

[defendless]

Oh...

[A soft, breathless noise. Taking him in.]

...I don't know. I didn't think, I just came.

[eggstinction]

You have not met many other dragons, have you.

[defendless]

...Really only the one who gave me their blood...? And they were nothing like you.

Long. Golden. They didn't have a humanish form like you.

I have a longer form too, but that would get me more attention than just yourself.

What was their character?

They were... Protective. I didn't know them very well. They wanted me to protect their brother.
