[maybe moon hasn't been to this part of the world in the past couple thousand years, maybe he's just hidden his presence somehow

but he's been in the area for a couple of weeks when a wild-eyed young man bursts into-- wherever he is, regardless of defense levels, looking quite honestly mad. he's a mess, clothes damaged from a rough journey and who knows what all else, body at what would be a breaking point if he could break-- he hasn't slept or stopped running since he could feel moon. only homed in on that new, unfamiliar sensation of a dragon who isn't one of his brothers, is so much bigger.]

[but no he'll be good. let your new packmate have some space! calm down so you can put your carapace away and talk to the hotel staff like a normal human person. and also intimidate whoever let zeno break in here, because now this room needs to be safe FOR zeno.]

[it's a high class inn so there is Muscle, but it looks like Zeno slipped in once they thought they'd dealt with him (furi: beat him up)

weirdly he didn't seem at all hurt in Moon's room, though?

well, in any case, Zeno bathes and squirms with all these emotions, this new feeling of belonging that doesn't come with the stink of oncoming death, for the first time in forever. he considers waiting for a clean change of clothes, since the yukata left for Moon obviously will drown him, but...

That's appealing, actually.

So Moon will return from arrangements and menacing to find Zeno tucked into a little ball at the table, staring a little vacantly at the snacks with the overlarge yukata pretty much falling off him. he's trying to process, okay. it's just a bonus he's showing so much nice, clean, flawless skin at the same time.]

[Moon returns with casual noisiness, shucking off the attitude of a wealthy and imposing lord as soon as he’s through the door]

Zeno, the men downstairs said you were hurt? They will not bother you again, but I did get some salves if—?

[his long legs have already carried him halfway across the room before he pulls up short, tripping over several realizations at once: when was the last time he came back to a room expecting someone to be waiting for him? Zeno was and will be waiting for him. Zeno is unhurt!

and zeno is half-dressed in Moon’s clothes]

[snaps back into reality after a moment]

Ah-? Oh, Zeno gets better. Hi.

Really! So do I. Though I am sorry you had to get hurt to see me.

[closes the distance to sit down next to him, setting a first aid kit and a bundle of clothes on the table.]

Zeno has been hurt for far worse reasons!

[what shyness he had seems to have evaporated now he's clean, and he tucks himself up against Moon's side easily.]
